Made in Brasil

She’s English, he’s Brasilian – together they make culture shock love.

Loving and hating, laughing and crying two hopeless romantics drag each other through the beautiful chaos of a seriously funny relationship.

f.a.b. – The Detonators present a mad dog’s view of life on the streets, performed by a couple of eccentric misfits. Two cultures collide creating original physical theatre with a few slaps and lots of tickle.

Armchair travel with attitude!

Brazil? Samba, football and Carnival! But what’s that lurking behind the palm trees?

f.a.b. - The Detonators, with their compelling and idiosyncratic style, mix text and movement with stunning visual images to present characters that we love, hate and want to be, within a story that delights, shocks, and surprises.

What will the audience experience?

  • plenty of hot music: samba, Maracatu, forró rhythms mixed with electronic and Brazilian street sounds!
  • a genuine insight into one of the world’s largest but least understood nations.
  • fast changing mix of text, film and performance.
  • contemporary dance theatre delivered in an entertaining, informative and original way.
