Tom Dale Company Influenced by a diverse spectrum of musical styles, Tom is interested in how advances in technology can feed into and influence artistic expression. The aesthetics of his work are born out of this culture and encompass musical, visual, technological and filmic influence. An Arts Council England East funded research and development period has been exploring taking his work into new and diverse venues, from outdoor spaces to night clubs. Tom is regularly commissioned to make work and collaborates with a range of artists in both the subsidised and commercical sectors. Tom Dale was a 2006 Place Prize semi-finalist. He performed a newly commissioned work at The Place in September 2006. For more details about The Place Prize follow the link: The Place Prize NEW PRODUCTION FOR 2007 - RISE Tom Dale has received funding from Arts Council England East to support the creation and touring of RISE a new evening of work, incorporating the Place Prize commission Whose Futures now booking for autumn 2007 and spring 2008. The programme will consist of an extended version of Whose Futures and two new works Dr Optimum and Cell. Dr Optimum will be set in a war room environment creating a very controlled atmosphere. Projection will be used as well as extreme movement aesthetics. The work is available for traditional performance spaces and in excerpts for night club settings.
